The Strokes announce album release date

The Strokes debut new songs and announce the album release date, writes Rolling Stone.

The Strokes

The band debuted two new songs, “Bad Decisions” and “At the Door,” during their Monday set at Bernie Sanders' rally in Durham, New Hampshire. They also announced that long-awaited LP is out on April 10th.

The Strokes performed live on “Bad Decisions,” a pretty classic Strokes tune with some choppy guitar riffs, while they premiered the synth-filled “At the Door” via an animated video. Just before their last song, Julian Casablancas said to the crowd that the "album’s coming out April 10th."

There is no official tracklist nor name of the album, but the band has been teasing this week by sharing a silent video with artwork that says 'The New Abnormal'.

The new album will be their first release since 2016 EP Future Present Past, while their last album was released in 2013 - Comedown Machine. They debuted 'The Adults Are Talking' during a charity show in L.A. last year in

May, while they started this year by premiering another track, "Ode to the Mets" during their New Year’s Eve concert.

“Yeah, we’ve got a new album coming out soon,” Casablancas said at the Barclays Center. “2020, here we come. The 2010s, whatever the fuck they’re called, we took ‘em off. And now we’ve been unfrozen and we’re back.”
